Arrowhead Merit Badges Counselors and Interested Adults

RENEWING Merit Badge Counselors

Thank you for your participation as a Merit Badge Counselor over the last year.  Your current status as a Merit Badge counselor expires on May 31, 2022.  As you know, MBC status must be renewed each year.  Your current list of merit badges is in Scoutbook.

A fillable PDF for merit badge counselor renewal is located at https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/34405.pdf

Note:  If you are offering more than eight merit badges, you may include a list of them instead of completing multiple copies of the form.  Just attach the one list to the form.

There is one definitive source for current merit badge requirements. When starting a scout on a merit badge you must use the requirements as listed.   It is from Scouts BSA and it is located at:  https://www.scouting.org/programs/scouts-bsa/advancement-and-awards/merit-badges/

Changes due to Covid-19 expired March 1, 2022.

As usual, you must send to me

  1. Copy of current Youth Protection Certificate which expires after May 31, 2022.
  2. Merit Badge Counselor Information Sheet

Electronic signatures are accepted.

It is not necessary as a renewal submit another copy of the on-going background check form.

There are special requirements for the new Citizenship in Society Merit Badge.
